No cathedral more sublime, No crucible more stern, Than the natural world
Me
I am an outdoor adventurer and photographer based out of SLC, UT. What started as a way to document my adventures has evolved into a deep appreciation for the intersection of light, landscape, and human experience in the wilderness.
My Philosophy
Adventures in the outdoors, pursued vigourously, are, inescapably, transformative. Their trials strip away illusion, teaching humility in the face of forces beyond control. Their beauty awakens a reverence that is part joy, part sorrow, as if one had glimpsed something eternal. The camaraderie forged in hardship lingers long after, a reminder that solitude and fellowship are not opposites but companions in the wild. Above all, these endeavors demand introspection: to confront oneself as much as the landscape, and to find, if only for a moment, that the boundary between the two begins to blur.
This is why I capture people, nature, flora, and fuana as is. I do set up shots and I do not pose. This limits the amount of stellar photos I can take from an aesthetic perspective but I believe it lends my photos an authenticity unattainable any other way and captures those unique moments with ineffable qualities only found in the wild.
